SB 980 - In 2007, two versions of Section 86.1230, RSMo, were enacted, relating to supplemental benefits for the Police Retirement System of Kansas City. Due to a possible conflict, both versions are currently printed in state law. This act repeals one version of Section 86.1230, RSMo, in order to remove any ambiguity regarding this section of law. The act also provides that members of the Police Retirement System of Kansas City and the Civilian Employees' Retirement System of the Police Department of Kansas City must be in active service in order to be eligible for certain duty-related or non duty-related disability retirement benefits.
