SB 48 - This act holds the tuition charged to Missouri undergraduates constant for the four continuous academic years following the student's initial enrollment at any institution of higher education in Missouri that receives any state funds whatsoever. If a Missouri student is enrolled in an undergraduate degree program that requires more than fours years to complete, that student's tuition shall remain constant for the customary time required to complete the degree program. The customary time required to complete a degree program shall be defined by the institution offering the program. If an undergraduate student from Missouri changes majors, the tuition charged to the student shall equal the amount the student would have been assessed had the student been admitted to the changed major program when the student first enrolled in college. This act is identical to SB 780 (2004). DONALD THALHUBER
