Current Bill Summary

SB 484 - This act allows the board of a fire protection district to create an ordinance, rule, or regulation allowing the district to charge individuals, who reside outside of the district, but who receive services within the boundaries of the district, for the actual and reasonable costs of such services received. The cost shall not exceed $100 for a fire alarm or call and $500 for one hour of service at an emergency or fire.

This act is similar to certain provisions of CCS/SS/SCS/HCS/HB 58 (2005).
