HCS/HJRs 39, 38, 42 & 47 - This proposed Constitutional Amendment provides that civil marriages in Missouri shall only consist of one man and one woman. The state of Missouri shall give no effect to any union, which arises from a public act, record, or judicial proceeding of any state, territory, Indian tribe or foreign nation, that is not a union between one man and one woman. Any rights or claims arising from those claims will not be recognized.
