SCS/HCS/HB 1192 - This act pertains to animal health and inspections.

This act requires the Director of the Department of Agriculture to promulgate rules consistent with the Federal Meat Inspection Act, the Federal Poultry Products Inspection Act, and all related federal regulations necessary to implement the meat inspection programs of the state.

In this act, new language has been added to the circumstances where criminal and civil liability are waived when venison is distributed by a charitable organization; the venison must be processed in a facility approved by the Missouri department of agriculture meat inspection program or in a facility that is licensed by the USDA's mandated inspections.

This act also repeals obsolete provisions regarding animal health and inspections.

Provisions of this act are similar to HCS/SS/SCS/SBs 740, 886 & 1178 and HB 632.
