HB 1848 (Truly Agreed) Modifies provisions relating to the licensing of certain health practitioners
Current Bill Summary
- Prepared by Senate Research -

CCS/SCS/HB 1848 - This act modifies two sections relating to the licensing of health practitioners. Section 324.130 provides a grandfather clause of January 1, 2001, for the licensing of certain blood perfusionists. Section 334.040 currently requires that all steps of the medical licensing examination must be taken within a seven-year period. This act, however, allows the Board to grant an extension of that period if the applicant has obtained a MD/PhD degree in a program accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and by a regional university accrediting body.
