SCS/HB 1659 - This act incorporates the substance of four bills:

(1) The original HB 1659, concerning an economic development sales tax for the City of Kirksville, which is similar to SB924;

(2) SB 936, concerning compliance with the sales tax;

(3) SB 596, concerning a tourism tax for New Madrid, New Madrid County, Stoddard County, Bloomfield, Caruthersville and St. James; and

(4) SB 724 (TAT), authorizing a tourism tax for Hickory County.

The provisions of this act are contained in HS/HCS/HB 1305 and HCS/SB 936.
