HB 1472 - This act requires the juvenile divisions of circuit courts and the Departments of Social Services, Health, Mental Health and Elementary and Secondary Education to coordinate their information systems in order to share information regarding individual children who have come into contact with or been provided services by the courts and the Departments. Under current law, the information is not shared with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Any shared information shall be subject to the same confidentiality requirements as are imposed by the Department originally collecting the information.

The act establishes the Juvenile Information Governance Commission, which shall recommend and authorize information to be shared between executive agencies and the juvenile and family divisions of circuit courts. The Commission shall be composed of Directors of the executive agencies involved, as well as the State Courts Administrator and two judges and juvenile officers.
