SJR 40 - This proposed constitutional amendment, upon voter
approval, would provide for the election of Public Service
Commissioners pursuant to law, with one from each of the nine
congressional districts. The Commissioners serve four-year
terms, except the first ones elected are staggered, with even-
numbered districts serving two-year terms.
