Current Bill Summary

SB 969 - This act exempts persons owning or operating special passenger trains from carrying more than $10,000,000 of liability insurance per occurrence. Special passenger trains are defined as passenger trains which do not exceed 35 miles per hour over a common carrier railroad or railroad authority. The insurance policy covering such special passenger trains shall not have a self-insured retention or deductible or more than $100,000.
