SB 952 - This act gives the Attorney General the power to investigate the abuse and neglect of residents of long term care facilities.

Currently, Sections 191.900 and 191.910, RSMo, give the Attorney General power to investigate and prosecute those committing Medicaid fraud and abuse. This act gives the Attorney General the additional power to investigate and prosecute violations of section 198.070, RSMo, which outlines the procedure for reporting and investigating the abuse or neglect of residents of long term care facilities.

This bill is substantially similar to HB 1770 (2000).
