Current Bill Summary

SB 901 - This act raises the amount of resources exempted from consideration when determining Medicaid eligibility. In order to be eligible for Medicaid, Section 208.010, RSMo, currently limits single applicants to $1,000 in resources and married applicants to $2,000 in resources. This act raises the single person resource limit to $2,500 and the married person resource limit to $5,000.

This act is substantially similar to HBs 1489, 1488 & 1650, and HB 1538 (2000).
