Current Bill Summary

SB 536 - This act modifies the licensure of persons who remove lead-bearing substances from housing and similar structures. Any person who engages in or conducts lead-bearing removal activities must complete a Department of Health (DOH)- or United States Environmental Protection Agency-accredited training program and must be licensed by the Department. The Director of the Department of Health is required to assess fees for licenses and accreditation. All collected fees will be credited to the Missouri Public Health Services Fund, established by Section 192.900.

This act is identical to SB 231 (1999).
