| HB 1217 (Truly Agreed) | Allows a funeral benefit of $1,000 for special consultants of a certain retirement system of the K.C. police department |
SCS/HB 1217 - This act allows any member of the Civilian Employees' Retirement System of the Police Department of Kansas City who was retired on or before August 28, 2003, and is receiving retirement benefits from the Civilian Employees' Retirement System of the Police Department of Kansas City to be appointed a special consultant on the problems of retirement, aging, and other matters, for the remainder of such member's life. Upon such members' death there shall be paid a funeral benefit of one thousand dollars in addition to all other benefits.
The act makes minor modifications to the quorum and voting procedures for the board.
This act is similar to SB 1055 (2004).
