SB 760 - This act would make the St. Louis County auditor an
elected official. The office is currently appointed by the
county council every four years. The change to an election
process would begin in 2002. Provisions of Chapter 55, RSMo,
regarding the duties of a county auditor are made applicable to
St. Louis County's auditor. The current job specifications are
left to the county council as the position is appointed.
