SB 544 - This act creates the Highway and Transportation Development Commission to study the relationship between highways and economic development. The five member Commission is appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate, from different congressional districts, for three year terms. The Department of Economic Development provides managerial support to the Commission.
