Edward T. Linehan served the people of the 6th District (part of St. Louis City). Born in St. Louis, he received his education from St. Louis parochial and public schools; Central Missouri State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in education; and St. Louis University, earning Bachelor of Laws and Doctor of Jurisprudence degrees. Senator Linehan practiced as an attorney for 19 years. He served as a combat pilot in the 8th U.S. Air Force from 1942-1945. Senator Linehan was elected to the Senate in a special election in 1966. He was re-elected later that year and again in 1970. (Democrat)
