JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Brian Munzlinger, R-Williamstown, will continue his role as chair of the Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee, as he has for the past four years. In addition, he will sit on the Gubernatorial Appointments Committee; the Small Business, Insurance and Industry Committee; and the Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety Committee. Committee assignments were handed down on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, by the Senate President Pro Tem.

“In committees, we hear testimony about proposed legislation from constituents across the state who would be most affected by its passage,” Sen. Munzlinger said. “I will continue to work hard as chairman of the Agriculture, Food Production and Outdoor Resources Committee to make sure Missouri’s No. 1 industry is protected and that the panel balances the needs and concerns of farmers and all Missouri citizens as consumers when considering legislation.”

The first committee hearings are scheduled for this week. The First Regular Session of the 98th General Assembly began on Jan. 7, 2015.
