JEFFERSON CITY — Sen. Kurt Schaefer, R-Columbia, has released the following statement in regards to the death of State Auditor Tom Schweich.

“Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Missouri State Auditor Tom Schweich. I have known him for many years as a friend and political associate. His dedication to fair and admirable public service will be sorely missed by his colleagues and the State of Missouri,” Sen. Schaeffer said. “My heart goes out to his family during this tragedy. Please respect the privacy of the family during their time of sorrow.”
