Sen. Libla's Statement of Thanks to Local and State Emergency Workers During Winter Storm

"Hello everyone from the frozen tundra here in Southeast Missouri! Here at our house, just north of Poplar Bluff, there is approximately 10 inches of snow and it has been snowing and sleeting most of the day and predicted to continue thru the night.

It is appropriate at this time that we should thank our great state, city and county highway workers who have battled this storm around the clock for several days now. Also, let's remember our police officers and EMT's, plus the utility workers, who are now and have been battling the cold to keep our power going. Remember the doctors, nurses and support staff for their commitment in caring for the sick.

It is times like these that we should be grateful to live in each of our communities. Let's reach out right now to make sure our senior citizens and other folks in our neighborhood are safe and warm and have food. Once again, thanks for caring, and please stay safe as this storm continues."
