Senator David Pearce Recognized by Business Organization


JEFFERSON CITY - State Sen. David Pearce, R-Warrensburg, was recently recognized for his positive record when voting on issues impacting local small businesses.

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is an organization dedicated to promoting and protecting small and independent businesses across the country.

“As a life-long member of the 21st Senatorial District, I am proud to say that I support small, independent business,” Sen. Pearce said, “because I believe that small businesses are the backbone of our state and our economy.”

As a support system for small businesses across the country, NFIB compiles voting records for lawmakers on topics pertinent to small business economy, such as workers’ compensation, small business tax reform, labor laws, unemployment benefits, and withholding tax reform.

As a legislator who supports independent and small business, Sen. Pearce was recently acknowledged for his 100 percent voting record on behalf of small businesses.

“Missouri’s business community remains strong, even in the face of the difficult financial climate of recent years,” Sen. Pearce said. “It is by continuing to make tough decisions and fighting for small business and small business owners that we will remain strong as we head into the future.”
