Senator Will Kraus Applauds Launch of Military and Overseas Voting Access Portal

JEFFERSON CITY — Today (7-7), Sen. Will Kraus, R-Lee’s Summit, issued a statement on the introduction of the Military and Overseas Voting Access Portal.

“I am pleased that the Secretary of State has launched a military voting portal based on the language from Senate Bill 116, which I brought to the Legislature and sponsored. As a veteran who voted while deployed in Iraq, it remains important to me to make voting easier for deployed soldiers who are risking their lives for our country.

I want to thank those who were active in working with my office on the language of this measure, including the U.S. Department of Defense, members of the Missouri Military Preparedness and Enhancement Committee, Rep. Charlie Davis, Sen. Jay Wasson and leadership in both the House and Senate. Without their help, the portal would not be available for our servicemen and women.”
