Legislative Column for the Week of Dec. 29, 2014

Looking For a Happy, Prosperous New Year

Almost everyone makes resolutions for the new year. After all, the new year is commonly viewed as a fresh start for us; a time to reflect on the past year, and to seek new solutions, new horizons and new ways of looking at things.

For me, the new year brings a new legislative session and new challenges ahead, and my resolution is to keep listening to my constituents and their issues, and to stand for the things that I strongly believe in, while working with my colleagues in the Senate towards making Missouri a better place to live, work and raise a family; and to live every day to the fullest.

It is my wish that you may keep all your resolutions, and that the new year ushers in a new beginning of happiness and prosperity for all people. I’m looking forward to the coming year, and being here in Jefferson City to represent you in the next General Assembly.

Thank you for reading this and for your participation in state government.
