Senator Parson and Forrest Lucas to Hold News Conference Regarding "Protect the Harvest"

SEDALIA — Senator Mike Parson, R-Bolivar, and Forrest Lucas, owner of Lucas Oil Products, Inc., will address members of the media and the public during a news conference at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia on Thursday (8-7). Senator Parson and Mr. Lucas will discuss issues regarding agriculture in Missouri and the current “Protect the Harvest” campaign, created to fight back and defend American families, farmers, hunters and animal owners from the growing threat posed by the radical animal rights movement.

“Protect the Harvest was born out of the battles between farmers and HSUS taking place all across the country,” said Sen. Parson. “We need to continue to educate and communicate with the public about the threats being posed to agriculture as we know it.”

The news conference will be located at the Protect the Harvest-Lucas Oil Tent and Exhibit located across from the Missouri Pork Association’s restaurant on the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7. For more information, you can contact Sen. Parson’s office.
