Local Leaders to Deliver Petitions to St. Louis County Prosecutor's Office on Thursday Morning
Will deliver more than 70,000 signatures calling for appointment of special prosecutor to investigate Michael Brown killing

JEFFERSON CITY — Tomorrow (8-21), the Justice for Michael Brown Leadership Coalition will hand-deliver petitions demanding the recusal of St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert P. McCulloch and the appointment of a special prosecutor to oversee the investigation into the death of Michael Brown.

Over 70,000 individuals have signed the petition since State Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, launched the petition on Aug. 14.

At tomorrow's event, local leaders who make up the Justice for Michael Brown Leadership Coalition will speak to the media before delivering copies of the petitions to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The event is open to members of the press and the general public
