Senator Will Kraus Applauds current Restrictions on Scanning and Asks Governor to Sign Measure to Protect Missourians

JEFFERSON CITY — Today (7-1), Sen. Will Kraus, R-Lee’s Summit, released a statement regarding the scanning and collecting of personal data by the Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR).

“I am thankful that the Missouri Department of Revenue has finally put the privacy of Missourians first, and has, after pressure from the General Assembly, stopped the scanning and storing of sensitive personal documents. It is my fervent hope that the governor will take the next step and sign Senate Bill 252, further protecting those whose documents have already been scanned.”
