Senator Parson Receives High Marks for 2013 Legislative Accomplishments

JEFFERSON CITY — Senator Mike Parson, R-Bolivar, was recently awarded an A grade for his 2013 legislative accomplishments by Missouri Scout, a highly regarded private news service covering state politics, which annually grades lawmakers for their work.

“It is an honor to be recognized for my legislative accomplishments this year by an organization that keeps a close eye on the day-to-day work of lawmakers in Missouri,” said Sen. Parson. “Passing legislation is not an easy task, and I would like to thank my colleagues and staff for their hard work and passion throughout the year. At the end of the day we can all be proud of our efforts to make Missouri a better place to live, work and raise a family.”

Missouri Scout highlighted Sen. Parson’s sponsored legislation dealing with agriculture, sales and use taxes, and the Missouri Works Training Program, as key legislation headed to the governor’s desk, and praised him for his work with members of the House as he ushered his legislation through the General Assembly.
