ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Gaming Commission, in responses to proposals increasing the gaming boat admission fees, have projected the state's one dollar ($1.00) share of fees brings in $47,661,299. A fifty cent ($.50) increase would yield about $23,830,649 per year.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small business would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would authorize an additional fifty cents per admission fee on gaming boat admissions. The money would be used for state employee pay raises in fiscal year 2004 and would be used only for state employee compensation in subsequent years.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space. This legislation would affect Total State Revenue.
