ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Cole County Clerk's Office assume any increase in salary for the County Treasurer would have to be approved by the County Salary Commission, therefore, if the Commission would approve a salary for the County Treasurer that would be equal to the salary of the Public Administrator, the increase in salary would be $15,000. The current salary of the Treasurer is $37,000. Officials assume if the Salary Commission did not approve the increase the fiscal impact would be $0.
Oversight assumes this proposal does not mandate the Cole County Salary Commission to increase the salary of the County Treasurer, therefore, fiscal impact will be shown as $0 or ($15,000). Oversight assumes no state fiscal impact.
