ASSUMPTION
Officials of Department of Social Services - Division of Family Services stated that, because the proposal allows but does not require the Division to get documentation of reasons for exemption from requirement for licencing, they would not request additional resources due to this proposal.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would allow the Department of Social Services - Division of Family Services to request license-exempt foster homes, residential care facilities and child placing agencies to provide documentation supporting the exemption.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space. This legislation would not affect Total State Revenue.
