ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Department of Public Safety - Missouri Highway Patrol, Department of Social Services, Office of Prosecution Services, Office of the Attorney General, Department of Mental Health, Department of Corrections and the Office of the State Courts Administrator each assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their respective agencies.



In response to similar legislation from this year, officials from the Office of the State Public Defender assumed the proposal would not fiscally impact their agency.



Officials from the Boone County Sheriff's Office assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their agency.



Officials from the Cole County Sheriff's Office and the Greene County Sheriff's Office did not respond to our request for fiscal impact.

DESCRIPTION



This proposal clarifies the registration requirements that apply to offenders of various sexual offenses (Megan's Law).



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
