ASSUMPTION
Officials of the Department of Economic Development- Professional Registration assume no fiscal impact.
Oversight assumes due to a change in the classification of Cass County, that the County Surveyor would become appointed rather than elected. Oversight assumes that this proposal would put the office of Surveyor back to being an elected office. Oversight assumes that to put the office of Surveyor on the ballot would have no fiscal impact, because the election would be held at the same time as other office holders. Oversight assumes there could be some printing costs, however, that cost would be insignificant.
The Cass County Clerk did not respond to this proposal.
