ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Department of Mental Health, Office of the Governor and Office of Administration - Division of Design and Construction assume the proposed legislation will not fiscally impact their organizations.



Officials from the City of Kansas City (CKC) did not respond to our request for a statement of fiscal impact. However, in response to a similar piece of legislation, CKC officials stated the proposed legislation will be very beneficial to Kansas City and it's transportation needs. Officials, did not, however, indicate whether there would be potential costs or savings.



Officials from the Office of Attorney General assume any costs associated with the proposed legislation can be absorbed within current funding levels.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This act authorizes the Governor to convey 13 distinct property interests held by the Department of Mental Health to Kansas City.



The act also provides that the Office of Administration shall determine fair market value for the conveyance of the parcels of land.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
