FISCAL ANALYSIS



ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Department of Revenue (DOR), Division of Motor Vehicle and Drivers Licensing (MVB) stated they were unable to determine the number of applicants this proposal would generate, however it is estimated that the impact will be minimal based on other military license plate that are currently being offered. This proposal can be implemented using existing resources. The MVB will also incur costs for policies, procedures, postage, plates and tabs; however, this cost will also be absorbed through existing resources.



REVENUE IMPACT

Since the number of applicants is estimated at minimal this will also have minimal revenue impact.



Officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Department of Public Safety stated this legislative proposal would not have a fiscal impact on their agency.



Officials from the Missouri Veterans Commission stated this legislative proposal would not have an impact on their agency.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.













DESCRIPTION



This act would allow Marine and Navy veterans who have participated in active duty combat action to receive a "Combat Action Ribbon" license plate. There would be $15 fee in addition to regular registration fees.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
