FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Revenue (DOR), Division of Motor Vehicle and Drivers Licensing (MVB) stated they were unable to determine the number of applicants this proposal would generate, however it is estimated that the impact will be minimal based on other military license plate that are currently being offered. This proposal can be implemented using existing resources. The MVB will also incur costs for policies, procedures, postage, plates and tabs; however, this cost will also be absorbed through existing resources.

REVENUE IMPACT

Since the number of applicants is estimated at minimal this will also have minimal revenue impact.

Officials from the Budget and Planning stated this legislative proposal should not result in additional costs or savings to their agency. The proposal would have an increase in total state revenue. They defer to the DOR for revenue estimates.

Officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Department of Public Safety stated this legislative proposal would not have a fiscal impact on their agency.

Officials from the Missouri Veterans Commission stated this legislative proposal would not have an impact on their agency.
