ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Public Safety - Divisions of Fire Safety and the Highway Patrol, Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of the Attorney General, and the Secretary of State's Office assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.
Officials from the Department of Corrections did not respond to our fiscal impact request.

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal changes Emergency Services Day from November 28th to September 11th. Emergency Services Day is a day set apart as a day of appreciation, respect and gratitude for all public safety personnel, including police, firefighters, ambulance personnel, emergency dispatchers and corrections officers.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
