ASSUMPTION
Officials with the Office of Administration - Division of Purchasing and Materials Managment (COA) assume the proposal would have no fiscal impact on OA since most of the MoDOT procurement is handled by the department's procurement staff in accordance with 227.030 RSMo.
Officials with the Department of Transportation (MoDOT) assume the proposal will have no fiscal impact because MoDOT currently has the authority to enter into contracts to mow right-of-way areas under 227.030 RSMo.

DESCRIPTION
This proposal would authorize the Department of Transportation to contract with private individuals to mow and maintain the rights-of-way.
This legislation is not federally mandated and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space. Portions of the proposal may duplicate existing law.
