FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION





This bill prohibits television and radio stations or networks from including post-termination non-compete clauses in employment contracts. The bill does not affect provisions requiring an employee to work exclusively for a particular employer during the term of the contract. The bill does not apply to sales and management employee contracts. Employers who violate this bill are liable for damages, attorney's fees and costs.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
