ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Office of Administration - Division of Design and Construction assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agency.



Officials from the Office of Administration - Division of Purchasing and Materials Management noted that this legislation allows the Commissioner of Administration to distribute state surplus property to nonprofit organizations that assist military veterans and are chartered by the federal government. The State Agency for Surplus Property would need to review information submitted by these organizations and determine if they are chartered by the federal government. Officials assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agency.

DESCRIPTION



This proposal will permit the Commissioner of Administration to distribute surplus or unneeded supplies or property to nonprofit organizations formed for assisting military veterans and chartered by the federal government.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
