No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would prohibit the Department of Revenue from collecting any information from persons applying for any driver's license issued by the department, by which such persons can be individually identified unless the department has specific statutory authorization to collect such information. The proposal would also prohibit the department of revenue from including on any driver's license, in print, magnetic, digital, or any other format, any information by which an individual may be identified, unless the department has specific statutory authorization to include such information.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
