ASSUMPTION
Officials from the Department of Health, the Department of Social Services, the Department of Insurance, the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Public Safety - Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Department of Conservation assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their agencies.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would require compliance with federal law in drug labeling. The current language in subsection 1 of section 196.100, RSMo, regarding drug labeling, would be removed. New language would provide that any manufacturer, packer, distributor, or seller of drugs or devices would comply with current federal labeling law. Any drug or device with non-compliant labeling would be deemed misbranded. The current subsection 2 regarding drug dispensing exemptions and subsection 3 allowing the Department to make rules would be added back to the proposal.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
