DESCRIPTION

This act allows Warrensburg to receive bids from banks doing business within the city at any regular meeting of the city. The bid must be advertised and the contract accepted must not exceed two years. Current law allows cities to receive bids from banking institutions only once a year, at its regular meetings in July. This legislation allows qualifying cities to receive bids at any regular meeting throughout the year.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
