FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Revenue (DOR) assume this proposal would have no fiscal impact on their agency.

Officials from the Department of Transportation (MODOT) assume there may be a minimal reduction of revenues associated with changing age categories, however, the MODOT cannot estimate the impact. Therefore, MODOT concurs with DOR's response.

Oversight assumes any fiscal impact to MODOT would be minimal and has not included any amount of revenue reduction in the estimated fiscal impact.

DESCRIPTION

The proposed legislation would require an application for a duplicate Commercial Driver's License to be made to the director of revenue when a person changes such person's name. When a person changes such person's mailing address or residence the applicant shall notify the director of revenue of said change, however, no application for a duplicate license is required.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
