FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Higher Education assume the composition of the governing boards does not present a fiscal impact to that organization. There could be a minor impact on affected institutions for the expenses of additional board representatives.

Officials from the University of Missouri assume the proposal would result in no fiscal impact to the institution.

Officials from Linn State Technical College, Missouri Western State College, Southwest Missouri State University, and Harris-Stowe State College, in response to a similar proposal, assumed the proposal would result in no fiscal impact to the institution.

Officials from Truman State University, in response to a similar proposal, assumed the estimated impact would be $5,200 per fiscal year to cover operational costs of an extra board member.

Oversight assumes the added costs for the institutions as a result of this proposal would be minimal and could be absorbed by the institutions.
