ASSUMPTION
Oversight assumes that all legislative, executive and judicial branch offices would be filled for the entire fiscal years affected by this proposal. These salaries could, subject to appropriation, be affected by this proposal.)
Oversight has ranged possible savings from $0 (the General Assembly appropriates and the Governor approves the entire 5.5% recommendation of the Citizens Commission for FY 2002 and FY 2003) to the amount which would be saved if there were no raises from FY 2001 salary levels.
Oversight notes that by FY 2004 there will be another set of Commission recommendations and the General Assembly would have to approve or reject those recommendations at the 2003 session of the legislature.
