FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.
DESCRIPTION
This proposal would revise the treatment of American Sign Language in Missouri higher education institutions. American Sign Language would be recognized as a language, and higher education institutions would be required to accept proficiency or training in American Sign Language in place of foreign language study requirements.
This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
