ASSUMPTION



Officials from the Office of the State Courts Administrator and the Department of Public Safety - Missouri Highway Patrol do not expect to be fiscally impacted from this proposal.



In response to similar legislation from last session, officials from the Department of Revenue and the Department of Transportation also did not anticipate a fiscal impact from this proposal.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business



No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.





DESCRIPTION



The proposal would prohibit the driver of a motor vehicle from the operation of a sound amplification system which can be heard from a distance of 100 or more feet. Exemptions are made for law enforcement vehicles, emergency vehicles, utilities, parades and special events. Failure to comply with provisions of this act is an infraction.



This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
