FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Transportation and the Department of Health assume this proposal would not fiscally impact their agency.

FISCAL IMPACT - State Government FY 2002

(10 Mo.)

FY 2003 FY 2004
$0 $0 $0

FISCAL IMPACT - Local Government FY 2002

(10 Mo.)

FY 2003 FY 2004

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business

Small businesses that engage in or conduct lead-bearing substance activities would be fiscally impacted with additional administrative costs as a result of the requirements of this proposal.

DESCRIPTION

This proposal would modify the licensure of persons dealing with lead-bearing substances. It would clarify that any person who engages in or conducts lead-bearing substance activities must

complete a Department of Health- or United States Environmental Protection Agency-accredited training program and would be licensed by the Department. A new subsection is added requiring

the Director of the Department of Health to assess fees for licenses and accreditation. All collected fees would be credited to the Missouri Public Health Services Fund, established by

Section 192.900.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
