Officials from the Office of State Courts Administrator, Office of Administration - Division of General Services and Office of Administration - Division of Facilities Management assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.

Officials from the Department of Natural Resources noted that the state currently has sovereign immunity under Section 537.600; therefore, this proposal should have no fiscal impact on the department.

DESCRIPTION

This proposal would provide immunity from suits for public entities for injuries that occur at a facility designed for inherently dangerous activities, including, but not limited to, ice skating, roller skating, skate-boarding or roller boarding when the injury results from engaging in such activities.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
