No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.



DESCRIPTION



This act allows a municipality to use condemnation in order to construct or acquire natural gas service. Any city bringing a condemnation proceeding under this section is subject to Section 71.525, RSMo, which prohibits condemnation of public utilities except for specific instances.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
